I have bought quantum ,xps15 9560 and a TB16 thunderbolt dock. The TB16 have an extra tb3 outport and I have test it by another tb3 dock,and it's work. I'm looking at the Studio Live 3 16 Mixer and the recent added ability to control Studio One V3. But, a thought occurred to me, is the Studio Live Mixer a high end fader port 16? What I mean by that, Can the mixer control everything in studio one that the FP8 can control while also being an audio interface, onboard board track recording, and OTB mixing abilities? Also, what can it not control that the FP8 can control and vice versa?...

I have read that control surfaces using Mackie protocol can only use 8 faders for volume.To access the faders on the second bank or more in the DAW you always need to use a shift key and use the same 1 to 8 faders on the hardware. Therefore the 9 to 16 faders are redundant with respect to track volume.They can be assigned for send Etc but you caot in effect use all 16 faders to control track volumes 1 to 16 at the same time. I already own a CS18ai an RM32ai and an RM16ai which I cascade using a MOTU AVB and have run quite successfully at a number of gigs recently.All units are ruing the latest firmware.I now have the opportunity to buy a second pre owned CS18ai at a very good price from a friend who is moving across to a new 32R, my plan being to position it to the side of the stage and use it as a monitor mix control surface, rather than using a MacBook Pro as I do currently, and to continue to use the other CS18ai as the FOH control surface . I'm using Studio One 3.5.244603 Win x64 on my computer. It runs great and recording isn't a problem. When it boots up, I can see it loading all add-ons such as plugins (both VST2 and VST3).The specific plug-in in question that's giving me a hard time is Auto-Tune 8.1. I see it in the Effects Folder in the Browse panel on the right hand side. When I try dragging it into the mix board onto any track, the program freezes and almost immediately crashes.I have no problem using this VST in some of the Adobe Premier and Adobe Audition, so I don't think the plugin is the problem.Could it be that I need to download and install the "VST and AU and Rewire Support" add-on? Using studio one. I just bought a windows 10 laptop. Using stock audio realtek drivers playback is fine at 16bit but, when I change playback to 24bit all sounds mute.
