WIll Studio Series 1824C be able to daisy chain multible Sudio Live C series devices using a USB C port hub?

It appears the C Series is only using usb 2.0 tech.  WHY??????   I'm still thinking Thunder Bolt is the way to go especially if one needs to expand the number of inputs/outputs in their studio.  I'm just thinking here.  If Thunderbolt can be used in a USB C port it should be able to do the things Thunderbolt can do.  Additionally I love the idea of AVB as an audio interface but I'm a Windows user and that's just not gonna happen...
