How can I use Audiobox 22VSL to bring XLR Mics into Quicktime

Dear PreSonus,

I have been in contact with Apple support over an issue with my Audiobox 2X2 VSL and they referred me to you.

Honestly, I think it’s their problem, but after hours with lower and higher level support on the phone, they just gave up and said it must be an issue with PreSonus. Perhaps there can be some communication about this since recording video with XLR is so much better that Apple Mics.

Until now, I have used the Tac-2R with Quicktime Player 7 Pro. It has worked perfectly, but now Apple doesn’t support that legacy program. Unfortunately, I finally had to update my other laptop and now can’t download QT7 Pro anymore. 

The latest versions of Quicktime acknowledge the 2X2 VSL, allow me to choose it, and register a level, but wont record with it, giving the message “Unable to Record, Please try again.”

Is there anything that can be done? I would record to Protools and match the video, but that process is so time consuming when I don’t have to edit the video otherwise.
