FST via Startech TB3/TB2 and TB2/firewire adapter won't sync with NUC

have not succeeded coecting my FST via Startech TB3 to TB2 adapter and TB to firewire adapter as suggested.

Result: FST won't sync (LED flashes Red/Blue).

Please advise.

My setup:
NUC7i7BNH | Windows 10 Home
FireStudio Tube
