Guitar clipping in studio one even with audiobox knobs turned all the way down.

I've preread through similar questions but have found no clear answer.

While recording guitar in studio one throught he audiobox usb interface, the guitar clips no matter if all the knobs on the audiobox are tued down.

Are my interface knobs not working?
