gain trim knob inside chael strips

Anyone found a third party rotary gain trim that would fit in the chael strips?

Something simple at the top, that is always visible, that would not take up real estate on screen, to trim back tracks to a -18?

It seems that would be a simple way to adjust the levels of tracks without having to adjust the amplitude of the waveform.
