Can I use the Studio Live 32R purely as a preampsumming mixer?

I want to run 32 chaels of analog out of PC into the 32R then out of the 32R into other gear? Is that possible? And since the CS18AI doesn't work with this mixer, would I use a touch device of some kind to control the preamp gain?
