How do I get the Arrange page track functionality described in this video: https://goo.gl/images/F7nkww?

When I follow the workflow described in the video for mirroring 1:1 functionality between the Arrange and Console with multi-out VIs all I get is a simple volume automation lane for the various VSTvi outputs. No ability to solo, mute or add plugins etc.

I also have no ability to rename the virtual 'tracks' or make them correspond to the Console page.

Also, in the video there is an orange icon on the left under the IO button that I'm not seeing in my session, nor can I figure out what this is or how to tu it on. Not sure if this is somehow related to my issue.
