Cristiano Ronaldo Welcomes Twins – CR7 has confirmed that he is a father again following Portugal’s exit from the Confederations Cup. He welcomed a set of twins from a surrogate mother in the United States.

The current FIFA best footballer of the year took to social media to post pictures of the twins shortly after flying home from Russia.

The Portuguese Football Federation allowed Ronaldo to fly home immediately after their defeat to Chile on Wednesday evening, with the Seleccao losing 3-0 on penalties after a goalless draw with the South American champions.

The Real Madrid playmaker is currently dating Georgina Rodriguez who is thought to be five months pregnant with his child. Georgina, 22, from Spain, seems to be the Real Madrid star’s most serious love interest since he broke up with long-term partner Irina Shayk.

Ronaldo, 32, posted a picture of himself holding the newborn twins to the Ronaldo family, declaring: “So happy to be able to hold the two new loves of my life.”

The new twins were believed to have been born in the United States and had already been visited by Ronaldo’s mother. Last week Ronaldo’s sister, Katia Aveiro, told Portuguese TV he had welcomed a girl and a boy, called Eva and Mateo, into the world.

However, the report was not made official until Ronaldo posted the news about their birth via Facebook on Wednesday. His statement on Facebook said:

“I was in the service of the National Team, as it always happens, body and soul, even though I knew my two sons were born. Unfortunately, we have not been able to achieve the main sporting objective we wanted, but I am sure we will continue to give the Portuguese joy.

“The President of the Portuguese Football Federation and the National Selector had an attitude today that sensitized me and I will not forget. I am very happy to finally be able to be with my children for the first time.”
