Do I need both computer and router to control studiolive 3 series with iPad?

I would like to know if I have to do the same setup with the studiolive 3 series to control the mixer with the iPad than a studiolive 16.4.2. I mean, do I need a computer too or I just have to coect the mixer to the router and then just pair the iPad with the mixer without the laptop in between. Thanks
