How does the invert phase button relate, if at all, to the four stereo chaels on the StudioLive 16.0.2?

Can someone help me understand the relationship, if any, between the invert phase button and the four stereo chaels on the StudioLive 16.0.2? ... Yes, very green on this end so thanks for the help.
