Default song does not load on start

I have "Open Default Song/Project" selected for the "When Studio One starts" setting in Options and have a song named "default" in the Song folder located in the current User Data location set in Options/Locations, per the instructions in the manual, but it does does open when I start Studio One. Please advise. Thanks.
