Ipad and Stylus for Notion

I am thinking about buying an iPad and stylus pen and start writing music with the help of Notion 6.

But for me an iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil is too expensive. So i am wondering if you can recommend a next best alteative (ipad an stylus) to buy that is compatible with the Notion 6 software?
