SL 24.4.2Ai network coection

I would like to buy SL24.4.2Ai mixer. (I have 16.0.2 yet). Is there still possibility to coect mixer to network through the Mac (from mixer over FW800 to Mac and from mac over etheet to network), i can't have wireless router and i have only one rj45 plug.

And I also want to know, If I install on mac new UC 2.5, but I have 1st generation iPad. Can I controll the mix coected like that over SL-Remote-AI?? (which should work on old iPads)
