The latest TIFA polls have shown surprising results that have sparked debates among Kenyans.
According to the Trends and Insights For Africa (TIFA) polls conducted only in Nairobi, NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga would emerge as the wier if the elections were to be held today.
The TIFA poll results showed Raila Odinga with 56% and his biggest rival Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta with just 34%.
The polls conducted among 829 Nairobi City residents also showed that about 9% were undecided on which coalition to vote for.
Another poll conducted by Infotrak and released last week showed Uhuru’s lead drop. However, the incumbent president still had the lead with 48% against Raila Odinga’s 43%.

The TIFA Poll also showed the Nairobi Gubernatorial elections to be a two horse race between Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko and incumbent Governor Peter Kiderio. The former scored 43% while the later edged by just 1% to score 44%.

Coming at third place was the former Gatanga Member of Parliament, Peter Keeth who had just 4% of City residents on his side.
Surprisingly, outspoken Independent candidate Miguna Miguna who wowed at the just concluded Nairobi Gubernatorial debate was the least favourite with just 1% of Nairobians preferring him for the City’s top job.
The polls showed 8% of Nairobians to be undecided on who to vote for in the gubernatorial race.

In the Senatorial race, Johnson Sakaja is leading with a substantial margin. The Jubilee candidate scored 38% against Orange Democratic Movement, ODM’s Edwin Sifuna with 28%. The polls showed that 28% percent of Nairobians were still undecided,

The Women Rep result shows that Radio personality Maina Kageni stands no chance. The Classic FM opted to vie despite being a man as against the Kenyan Constituency.
Kageni, last month, aounced his choice to run via his Instagram page, saying;
“It’s now no longer a secret. I’ll be on the ballot and my symbol is a smart weave (made of 100% human hair). Nairobi women deserve to have the very best! Come out and vote in large numbers.”

The incumbent Jubilee party’s Rachel Shebesh in second place with 25%. ODM’s Esther Passaris has a comfortable lead at 57%. However, 15% remain undecided.
