Faderport 8 stops sending MIDI

I'm working with a new Faderport 8 and it seems to stop sending MIDI every now and then (it seems to do so anywhere between 1 and 5 minutes), and the only way that I can get it working again is to switch it off and on again. It will then work again for a short period before the same thing happens. I've tried doing a factory reset from the boot menu, and then re-updating the firmware to v1.10; the problem seems to still be present.

The Faderport 8 itself is still powered on and responds to MIDI messages sent from Studio One: if for example I move some faders using the mouse in the Studio One mixer, the faders on the Faderport will move. However, trying to use the faders on the Faderport have no effect; this seems to be because the Faderport no longer sends MIDI messages to Studio One (I can see MIDI messages being sent from the Faderport in the MIDI monitor when it does work).

I'm using Studio One Professional v3.5.4 on Windows 10 (64 bit), and have a Faderport 8 set to use the Studio One protocol. Any help would be much appreciated.
