Dear Presonus,

I'm past setup and loving Notion so far. Even without native CC editing and intermittent rewire sync issues, it's still the best thing since butter IMO. I trust that those will come and be fixed, so I instead focus on the tiny things that freak me out every day.

Rest Insert Mode (Displace vs Replace)

When I place a quarter note rest ON an 8th note rest, I expect it to update the value, or replace the 8th rest with the one I'm putting down. I realize that's not Notion's way. But IMHO it's more work to clean up rests because of this. I do see the value in Notion's way of doing it. But perhaps an option to toggle would be good? Think of it like the "INSERT" key on your keyboard. One shoves **** to the side and one replaces. Wouldn't this be freaking cool in Notion? I think so! :) I even have a clever keyboard shortcut suggestion for this feature. You know you love it!

Easier Score Placement

Express Entry mode shows a grey highlighter to select which note you apply an articulation to. I've found that this is rather picky about where I place the marking. I tend to be a little off and have to replace it often enough that I've noticed it. Maybe my mouse skills are horrible. ;) But because the marking HAS to be applied to a note, I would LOVE if the grey highlighter snapped to notes automatically as I move the mouse. This way I never have to place, delete, and replace an articulation. That may seem like a small thing but it's an odd aoyance for me personally and I keep noticing it so I thought to bring it up.

Automatic Hide the Clutter

I'll obviously never tell cellists "play fast legato right here". I added it as a custom expression for use with Spitfire's "runs legato" patch. But I have to hide 50 expressions every hour it seems. I miss plenty of them and keep finding them. They plague me. lol So I ask you to please make some articulations hidden by default once you place them. Perhaps something like this in the ExpressionList.tpk would work out for this feature.

<property key="dspd" name="Display Default">hide</property>

<property key="dspd" name="Display Default">show</property>

You guys do awesome work. These "aoyances" are just those small things that feel weird or seem to create uecessary work for me. If I look at other notation programs right now (and I do) they are riddled with far worse UI problems that 'little aoyances'.

Keep up the awesome and booya!

-Sean
