How to view songs saved in an external drive on your songs page.

I saved all my previous song files to a specific folder in my exteal drive. I went to preferences and changed my user data to that same folder, to streamline my laptop. When I open Studio One on my macbook and click on the Songs box on the left of the home page, no songs show up. I would like to know how I can see the songs in that list, to make them easier to open. I can open the songs fine when i search a specific one through the documents option, but how can I see the songs on the home page.
