Stereo Linking on RM32AI

Hello, Why when i stereo link a chanel . sometimes the linking is provided to the chanel on the left and sometimes tho the right.... for example... if I stereo link the chanel 24 I want the 25chanel to be linked. but it skips to the 23 chanel... and if i go to the link 25 it links to 25 and 26 WHY ??????????!!!!
