Is Universal Control useful on macOS with an AudioBox iTwo?

What features does the Universal Control offer with an AudioBox iTwo on macOS? Is it worth installing? On these devices, is it just used for firmware updates or are there actual settings to play with?

I ask because I couldn't find a user's manual and I'd prefer not to pollute my OS with uecessary keel drivers when I can avoid it to keep things stable.
