Chael LED's already red when coecting to line input on mixer from CD Player

This is my first digital mixer. Great product. I'm a newbie just leaing. I normally coect my 2 stereo CD Player coections to the line inputs of mixers I own and adjust the gain. I'm reading the (studiolive iii 24) line inputs don't have a trim and is optimized to accept fundamental line levels. My CD player Tascam CD-RW402 seems to be over driving the line input on the studio live(the 3 LEDS) are lit most of the time. No option to adjust the output of the CD Player (like most). Can't find anything in manual or knowledge base. Help!
