Can I use a stereo system as monitors with Audiobox USB?

Hey, everyone. I've got a Audiobox USB on an iMac with Sierra OS and I was thinking if it's possible to use a stereo system as monitors and how. I know the ideal are monitors properly saying, but, I'm not getting them in the near future.
