Is there a recommended PCI-e USB 3.0 add-on card for use with Studio 192 and Windows 10 ?

Is there a recommended vendor / chipset for USB 3.0 that is known to work well with Studio 192? Specific card I should buy? Right now I'm plugged into my ASUS motherboard onboard USB 3

I'm using a fast computer (AMD Ryzen 1800x / 32 gb ram / SSD) and all my firmware & Windows is up to date- still getting unusable audio dropouts when tracking using a lot of VST plugins. My previous firewire interface handled the same sessions no problem.
