Set midi CC range or min and max value or the parameter you aré controlling

I Need to Set midi CC range or min and max value or the parameter Im controlling for example set the max Fader to 0db..

I want to map the fader of My controller to the master volumen but i dont want to be never above 0db.. i can do this in ableton i thing studio one can do it to... please somebody tell me how
